Easing into 2021

2020 was not the year for travel or new adventure, but as we ease into 2021 it looks like possibilities are on the horizon.   I have a suggestion for great eats,  and a fun and rewarding activity.

My husband and I ventured out for a lunch date with our son and his wife a couple of weeks ago.   We met them at Mr. and Mrs. P’s in Ripon WI.    All of us realized at the first bite of food how much we missed this place.   This café/bakery is not huge but it makes up for it with amazing service and exceptional food.  We have never had anything that wasn’t delicious.   Any place that takes the time to make its own jam needs to be experienced at least once. Oh yes – you can’t beat the prices either.

The other suggestion I have to expand your horizons, is to visit your local neighborhood parks.   I along with my traveling “Ladies” recently spent some time at Schluter Beach in Monona WI.   A very quaint little park with a great view of the lake, cozy pagoda, and enough room to stay distanced, but still have a fun and relaxing time.  It does not hurt that there is an ice cream shop across the street that serves Babcock ice cream – Yum!!

We have found unique interesting parks in every city that we have visited.  So, get out of the house and explore your area and see what awesome places you can find.

That’s it for this edition, but now that the world is opening up again, there will be more to follow.
